HASWThe Hungarian Association of Social Workers (SzMME) was established in 1988. The objectives of the Hungarian Association of Social Workers are:
- to create and develop a unified field of expertise and an independent profession based on shared professional and ethical principles, in line with the international definition of social work and the Code of Ethics of Social Work;
- to enhance the recognition and social esteem of social work;
- to provide professional support to social workers and social care professionals;
- to represent the professional interests of social workers and to support the interest representation of social care professionals;
- to support the representation of the interests of clients / service users / beneficiaries.
